2. Sync permissions

There are two types of contact syncs.

a) Initial sync => Syncs all existing contacts from store to Maileon

b) Live sync => Syncs all new contacts from store to Maileon.

For each you must set the desired permission for the contacts in Maileon separately.

2. Sync Opt-Outs

You can activate Opt-Outs syncing from store to Maileon and from Maileon to store.

If you want to use Opt-Out syncing you must enable it in the store settings:

This will enable a checkbox during checkout asking the customer for newsletter consent. The plugin will check in that case if this checkbox was clicked during checkout and alter the targeted permission accordingly.

Further you can now check the Opt-In status of your contacts in your store in the contact details. The plugin will also create webhooks in Maileon for you which will send your newsletter unsubscriptions automatically to the store.

3. Double Opt-In

You can enable Double Opt-In sendout for intial and live sync. A DOI can be send only when the targeted permission is set to “none”. Maileon will then send automatically a DOI email to the user.

3.1 Double Opt-In Key

This field is optional. Typically the default DOI campaign in your Maileon account is beeing used for the DOI sendout.

If you have multiple DOI campaigns and want to use a specific campaign for ECWID sync DOI sendouts you can specify the DOI key here.

4. Transactions to send (contact events)

4.1 Abandoned carts

When enabled the plugin will look for abandoned carts in the specified time frame and send the data to Maileon for future automation.

The data contains contact details, shipping address and cart item data like quantity, prices, item description etc.

Only abandoned carts of registered user can be send to Maileon. Guest carts are ignored (no contact details like email available)

4.2 Checkouts

When enabled the plugin will send all checkout data to Maileon with every checkout for future automation.

The data contains contact details, shipping address and cart item data like quantity, prices, item description etc.
